Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace: Cannoli, Raviolis, and Sinatra - Oh My!

If there’s one thing we love, it’s finding places that make everyday errands feel a little more special. And Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace on Route 10? It’s chef’s kiss. Part grocery store, part Italian wonderland, this spot takes the concept of food shopping and elevates it to an experience. Whether you’re grabbing dinner for the week, hunting for authentic Italian ingredients, or just looking for an excuse to eat your weight in cannoli, Uncle Giuseppe’s has something for everyone - and we mean everyone.

It’s like Disneyland but a Grocery Store!

Walking into Uncle Giuseppe’s is like stepping into a little slice of Italy. The smell of fresh garlic bread hits you immediately (and let’s be honest, it’s impossible not to grab some for home), and the aisles are full of perfectly curated displays that feel more like a market in Florence than a store on Route 10. To add to the ambiance, they even have a live singer on weekends! lol. Picture yourself grocery shopping while Frank Sinatra classics and Italian ballads play live in the background - yes, it’s as amazing as it sounds.

What We Loved Most

  1. Prepared Foods That’ll Save Your Weeknight Dinners

    • Their hot bar is next-level. We’re talking chicken parm, baked ziti, and their focaccia sandwiches that might just ruin you for all other focaccia sandwiches. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and perfect for nights when cooking feels like too much work.

  2. The Fresh Pasta Situation

    • The fresh pasta section deserves a moment. Whether you’re in the mood for ravioli, gnocchi, or classic spaghetti, they’ve got it all. Pair it with one of their house-made sauces, or, grab my personal fav which is their home made pastina and pair it with a homemade veggie or chicken broth!

  3. The Bakery (A.K.A. Dessert Heaven)

    • Cannoli, anyone? Their bakery section is a total dream, with freshly baked Italian bread, pastries, and desserts that are impossible to say no to. Pro tip: The cannoli are a must, but don’t sleep on their tiramisu.

  4. All the Italian Goods You Could Dream Of

    • From imported olive oils to fancy balsamic vinegars and hard-to-find pastas, their shelves are packed with authentic Italian ingredients. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like a professional chef just by being there. Our family’s fav is the San Benedetto iced teas!

Tips for Your Trip

  • Time It Right: The market gets busy on weekends, so aim for earlier or off-peak hours if you want to avoid the crowd (or go later to catch the live music!).

  • Bring an Appetite: Between the hot bar, bakery, and sampling stations, you’ll definitely want to come hungry.

  • Check for Specials: They’ve always got great deals, so keep an eye out for those.

Our Verdict: Go ASAP

Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace isn’t just a grocery store - it’s an experience. Whether you’re there for the incredible prepared foods, the specialty Italian items, or live music while grocery shopping, this place is a total gem. Next time you’re on Route 10, do yourself a favor and check it out. Trust us, you’ll leave with a full cart and a happy fam back at home!
