Blueberry Croissant Bake: A Family Favorite!

by Natalya Price

This recipe is a treat that’s become a family tradition in our house. I love making it for special occasions, holidays, or even just a cozy weekend breakfast when we’re all together (which is not that often anymore with grown kids!). The best part? It’s so simple to throw together!

I usually prep it the night before, letting the croissants soak in all the goodness overnight. That way, when morning rolls around, all I have to do is pop it in the oven and let the sweet smell wake everyone up. And while the classic blueberry version is a favorite, I’ll occasionally swap the blueberries for chocolate chips to mix things up. Trust me - it’s just as big of a hit (if not bigger, sometimes!).

Ingredients:

  • 3 large croissants, cut into pieces

  • 1 cup fresh blueberries

  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

  • 2/3 cup sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 cup milk

Full Recipe:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. Place croissant pieces in a square baking pan and sprinkle with blueberries.

  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Slowly add milk, mixing well as you pour.

  4. Pour the mixture evenly over the croissants and blueberries. For best results, let it sit overnight to soak (or at least 20 minutes if you’re short on time).

  5. Bake for 40 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

  6. Sprinkle with confectioner’s sugar before serving.

Whether it’s a holiday or just a quiet Sunday morning, this bake always brings everyone to the table. Give it a try, and let me know how it turns out (or if you opt for the chocolate chip version)!
